Finding The Right Butcher Can Make All The Difference

After 85 years in business, and several incarnations, LaRocca’s Country Market is undoubtedly a North Stamford institution of gourmet convenience. Still, Tommy LaRocca, a third-generation owner and manager of the market, is keeping things fresh. “We just recently went through a huge renovation,” says LaRocca of the family business. “We changed a lot of things. The catalyst was to make the store more energy efficient.”

LaRocca’s Set For Grand Opening

Two years ago, Tommy LaRocca purchased what was then called Giovanni’s Country Market from his father and uncle, thinking to revamp the store in six months’ time. The actual renovation took 1 1/2 years longer than he expected, but LaRocca will finally hold the grand opening for the newly named LaRocca’s Country Market tomorrow at the store on Old Long Ridge Road in Stamford.
